| | Breaking News - Patch 1.22 - by Gp-DaYWalkeR @ 2008-04-02 14:08:25 |
Just some news which Karune post one day ago.
Here we go!
"April 1st, 2008 - The Dev Team is ready to launch the public test servers today.
Westfall Test Server - When players select the PTR in their server list, they will then be able to log in and update their client to patch 1.22. When players select a different server, their client will automatically patch back to 1.21b.
[waiting for server live confirmation from development]
April 1st, 2008 - Unfortunately, there has been last minute issues that will prevent the patch from going live on public test servers today. I understand the overwhelming excitement to get into the PTR server to test the new patch and have no desire to give you news of the patch's delay. Nonetheless, I would like to remind everyone that we are almost there and I will continue to give you updates on the patch's progress. "
FEATURES
- There is now a replay auto-save feature in the options menu. Replays
are automatically saved to the "replay" folder.
- Added an option to always show unit and building health bars.
- You can now enable and disable the display of minimap signals
from players and other observers using chat commands:
/showminimapsignals and /hideminimapsignals.
Read more about the fixes, here.

| | Individual tips by Re-Up @ 2008-03-28 20:25:55 |
Good day, guys and gals! Here I bring you an individual strategy guide. As we all know, there are some units or strategies which some consider unbeatable. Perhaps we're right sometimes, but plenty of people still just play the same old strategies, unwilling to try something new. With new strategies, tactics, creep routes etc. your enemy won't ever know what you're doing, and cannot predict your gaming. Thus new ways of playing is very useful. Of course many of you know this already. But those who wanna try develop their gaming even further could take this test.
Let's use this picture to give you individual tips:
This picture shows if you're left or right brained. Depending on the way the woman turns, you can find out. If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa. She can start turning the other direction too, it depends on you. But which way did she turn when you first saw her?
*Note, not everyone have two brain halves, Click me.
These are the different functions of the brain halves.
Depending on results in the test you could choose between these ways of playing:
Left brained: Logic. Think and predict how your enemy is gonna play or choose his units, predict if you'll win or lose battles. "words and language" - Chat and manipulate your enemy. "safe" play the ways you find safe. "form strategies" - need I say more?
Right brained: Creativity. Surprise your enemy by different creep routes, unit combinations, strategies. Try to creep jack etc. "feeling" use it, "religion" use casters. "risk taking" <-, "know object funtion" know your unit skills.
You can play in both ways, but perhaps the one that fits your brain is more natural and thus gives more wins. We need to combine nature and computers. Like Cyborgs, etc.
